Subject: It's the "Oops, its Friday already" Good Morning Get-Together!!!

This thread is an opportunity to start your day off on a happy and friendly note, get to know your fellow posters, and [most importantly] to have a good time. So don’t be shy... chat up your fellow Boardies . . . or grope them up . . . or lick them up . . .

Today we are in Hawaii. So dress in your best grass skirts and bikini tops or other appropriate luau wear. We're located on a lovely white sand beach, the sun is shining, and we're with one another and our favorite bots – life doesn't get much better than this!

You are welcome to bring food, entertainment and special requests for music...
I will provide some refreshments today, and make sure all of the ‘bots are in working order and are *ahem* fully functional. You are welcome to bring food, entertainment and special requests for music... All antics that lead to laughter [and GROPING or SPANKING or LICKING] are allowed!!!

Today’s fare includes a fresh fruit bar, with mangos, papayas, and fresh pineapple. Our muffin selection today includes orange blossom, lemon poppyseed, and poi.

I have also brought gallons of coffee [shade grown, of course], pots of tea, both black and green, and an extensive juice bar. There are also sea breezes and pina coladas, for those who are living the life in a later time zone, or for those wanting to start celebrating Friday a bit early!

The ‘Bots are ready to serve you, so what will you have . . .

QotD: Buffy and the Scoobies were generally up for a new challenge. While on vacation recently, I accepted the new challenge of trying mountain biking. I can't say I'm at all good at it (and the now pale green bruises on my legs are testament to that fact), but I was proud of myself for trying something new and difficult. So, have you tackled any new challenges lately?

Have a GOOD MORNING, and a GREAT DAY! and GROPE.....

[> Morning Di -- EmilyIRE, 10:40:21 08/12/05 Fri [1] (192.198.151.129)

I'm just about to leave work for the weekend.

AotD: It's not a challenge as such but my new job requires me to take on a lot of responsibility and liase with a lot of people. I'm not very good at confrontations and tend to shy away from talking to people I don't know and asking for things but I've had to learn to do that recently. The only other thing I can think of is going to the gym. I have little or no will power and ability to stick to projects but I've been very good at getting my gym sessions in.

That interaction can be a challenge. Sometimes I wonder why those things turn into confrontations at all.

Yea on the gym sessions.

Good work on the gym -- and on stretching in your job. Both sound like good things. I've been working on varying my workouts more, just to keep things fresh. I'm thinking of joining a gym for winter, but we'll see. I'd like to get a bit more weight training in.

Have a great weekend!

[> Good Morning -- MTsFan, 10:59:27 08/12/05 Fri [1] (205.175.225.24)

I'd like that un-Willow-like WillowBot to help with my breakfast this morning. Hope Sharkey doesn't mind. Some lemon poppyseed muffins and coffee, please.

QotD:
No really new challenges. I think I'm at the point where I like to stay in my comfort zone.

Plus I'm sure we could always find a duplicate bot if we needed to. Morgain left us well-supplied.

The comfort zone isn't a bad place to be.

[> Hiya, seabreeze for me, please (though I don't know what's in it) -- sister_ray *big hugs and gropes*, 11:21:26 08/12/05 Fri [1] (83.129.33.50)

and an Ozbot.

I've had another fairly lazy day and am enjoying that very much after much activity on holiday.

AotD: New challenges? Nothing really unless you count jumping on the bandwagon of the su doku craze and finding out that I'm not as logically challenged as I believed I was.

We just got those in our newspaper this week, but I haven't tried one yet.

Sounds like your holiday was busy -- I hope it was fun, too! Mine was both. We covered a lot of ground and saw some amazing scenery (we were mostly in the Canadian Rockies).

Any fun weekend plans? I have a long to-do list (including back-to-school shopping for the girls), but I hope to fit in a good bike trail ride and maybe a movie for fun.

fun and busy - even went swimming in the sea and of course got to meet the lovely paranoid_blonde and the equally lovely distractogirl. We might have spent a bit too much time in the car driving around, but now I know lots of places that I would like to re-visit and a few that I don't have to see again. Ditto on the scenery.

No weekend plans really, maybe a movie and I should start the preparation for going back to school.

[> Quick Hi! -- Linda_Delurked, 16:03:36 08/12/05 Fri [1] (83.70.255.113)

Waaaayyyy late, but I had to say hi!

AoTD - kinda similar to EmilyIRE. I became a teacher recently, and learning to deal with kids is really scary! I intend to teach adults mostly (English as a Foreign Language and IT) but I taught at a language school for kids during the Summer. Learning how to handle a bunch of crazy Spanish and Italian kids was a real challenge!

I finish at the school next week. I think I'll miss those crazy kids when they're gone.

You're writing fic! I'd say that's a challenge! I'm *still* trying to find time to write my Dawn the Series fic!

but it's not a new nor a daunting challenge any more.
