ok so ive been gone a bit...i should be back more regularly now as school will be starting soon and ill HAVE to wake up before noon! for breakfast we have bagels, donuts and muffins...coffee and milkshakes are available of course as is a variety of bots

I refuse to believe summer is almost over. And my kids don't go back to school until after Labor Day, so we still have about 1/3 of the girls' summer vacation left.

That said, I do like it when the girls go back to school and our lives get a bit more structured again. I just hate the fact that it means winter is that much closer . . .

There used to be a state law that school couldn't start until after Labor Day, adopted because of the strong resort lobby in this state. It has since been repealed, but most school districts still honor it. I'm dreading the back-to-school shopping. The clothes won't be too bad for teendi, since she wears a uniform. But most of her uniform pieces are two years old now, so some need replacing. But the supplies are always a killer. That's always one painful trip to Target . . .

AotD: Summer hasn't been exactly slow for me, I was in the States til the start of July, then 3 manic weeks in work, followed by a weeks holiday and more manicness in work. I'm thinking autumn has to be slower than this.

no full English breakfast for me today, please. (I don't think I'll eat that for a while - had enough in the last thirteen days). England was fun, slightly tiring, but lots of places were visited.

No thanks for the brekkie in the undies though (yuk). Here, have some proper German sausage to keep you occupied. I read in a book for English tourists to Germany yesterday that they were impressed that German sausage has to be 100% meat. Yeah, the sausage part of the full English isn't that good.

Aotd - yes and no...I move to berlin in 3 weeks time, so pretty nervous, and most of my uni have another 4 weeks off after that, so yeah...

Summer around here runs into October and we regularly mow grass in November. Did I mention I like warm weather? School isn't an issue around our house anymore.

That unbuttoned DawnBot likes the warm weather, too, I see.

I just had pizza for lunch, so I'll settle for coffee.

*Stuffs leftover donuts and muffins in tg's undies. Pours in coffee. Pastries get heavy from soaking up liquid.*

There. Now they're too heavy to move, tg. You'll have to stay with us -- or leave the undies behind. Either way will be to our advantage.
