At 11 a.m. there will be a gubernatorial Debate and at 12:30 p.m. there will be a U.S. Senate Debate. These debates will be on WSB-TV Channel 2 Atlanta and each one will include the Republican, Democrat, and Libertarian candidates. I am just one of many that are in the same group as i am. That group, my friend, is the underpaid, blue collar, manual labor redneck that likes to do with his money what he/she wants to do. One thing is fireworks. How long is this going to be an issue? Why should we have to suffer for something the ones before us did (by the way, I'll be turning 21 next week)? And that was really smooth the way you just went behind the tax payers back and tore down all the Georgia flags, but allow blacks and Mexicans, what have you, just put up whatever they want, hang out in the ghetto and rape, not just white women, but their own as well. And there is an over abundance of deer in our woods. They're dying of old age, and as soon as one is born, then the same damn cycle starts over again. I've researched this. There is a ratio of 6 does to 1 buck in fifteen places. At LEAST 6 to 1. And thats out of probably forty deer sighted on Chimney mountain in a day, and more out there probably. Yet we have this limit of 3 bucks and 2 doe/antlerless deer. One bear limit, two turkey limit, the list goes on. What happens when they've eaten all the food in their homes and come after ours? Deer in the road? Maulings? Bird crap in driveways? Chew on this for a while. I'll be in touch.
Well said! That is exactly why we need to elect Sonny Perdue as Governor! Georgia NEEDS a change for the better. Perdue supports the opportunity to "LET US VOTE" on the state flag issue. I agree on the fireworks law too...
PERDUE FOR GOVERNOR!! Go to www.wsbtv.com and vote on the poll for the Georgia Governor and Senate. MY HUSBAND IS IN CARLTON H COLWELL PROBATION DETENTION CENTER ON PROBATION VIOLATION FOR NOT REPORTING TO HIS PROBATION OFFICER. HE WAS SENTENCED TO 380-400 DAYS IN THERE FOR NOT REPORTING TO HIS PROBATION OFFICER AND HIS ORIGINAL CHARGES WERE A MISDAMEANOR. I THINK THAT SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE BECAUSE IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT THERE ARE MEN IN THE STATE FACILITIES THAT ARE THERE ON FELONY CHARGES LIKE DRUGS AND RAPE OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN THAT ARE THERE ON LESS TIME THAN THE ONE'S THAT ARE THERE ON MISDAMEANORS. I HATE THE FACT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY MEN AND WOMEN OUT THERE THAT ARE TRYING TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR FAMILIES AND BEING TORN AWAY AND THEN THERE ARE THE ONE'S THAT ARE OUT THERE HURTING PEOPLE AND THEY ARE THE ONLY ONE'S THAT THE GOVERNMENT CARES ABOUT. THE GOVERMENT SEES ONLY DOLLAR SINGS WHEN IT COMES TO INMATES. THEY ARE PAID SO MUCH PER INMATE PER DAY AND THEY THINK THAT INMATES ARE JUST TRASH. THOSE ARE OUR HUSBANDS, FATHERS, SONS AND BROTHERS THAT ARE BEING TRASHED ON. THE THING IS THAT IT IS GETTING COLD OUTSIDE NOW AND THESE SAME MEN ARE HAVING TO STAND IN THE COLD IN A "SWEAT SHIRT" THAT IS NOT THICKER THAN A PIECE OF PAPER AND ARE NOT GIVEN GLOVES AND NOT GIVEN JACKETS UNTIL THE END OF DECEMBER. I FEEL LIKE THE PEOPLE THAT ARE HERE PAYING TAXES AND TAKING CARE OF THEIR KIDS ARE THE ONE'S THAT SHOULD BE HOME. I AM NOT SAYING THAT MY HUSBAND OR THE OTHER MEN IN THERE ARE PERFECT ANGELS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT BUT NO ONE IS. I AM JUST GLAD THAT THE GOVERNMENT THINKS THAT OUR RIGHTS DON'T COUNT BUT I LOVE THE FACT THAT THEY ARE FAITHFUL IN KEEPING THE DRUG DEALERS AND CHILD MOLESTERS IN BUSINESS. THANK GOD THEY CAN COME HOME AND HURT ONCE AGAIN!! (SARCASM) I ALSO THINK THAT THE LAWS NEED TO BE CHANGED. THAT SOMEONE THAT IS IN ON A FELONY DOESN'T GET LESS JAIL TIME THAN A MISDAMEANOR. THERE IS A RAPEST TEHRE THAT ONLY GOT ABOUT 8 MONTHS. THERE WAS A WOMAN IN THE SAME BOND HEARING AS MY HUSBAND THAT WAS THERE ON HER THIRD DUI, NO PROOF OF INSURANCE, AND DRIVING ON SUSPENDED LISCENSE AND SHE ONLY GOT 30 DAYS IN COUNTY LOCK-UP WHILE MY HUSBAND, TERRY PAUL TIPTON, GETS OVER A YEAR SO THAT HIS CHILDREN CAN WAKE UP SCREAMING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. HIS KIDS ARE 5 AND 7 AND IT IS A SHAME THAT THEY HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO GO THROUGH A METAL DETECTOR TO SEE THEIR FATHER. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO SEE YOUR SPOUSE FOR 2 DAYS A WEEK? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE HAVING TO TELL YOU STEPKIDS OR KIDS WHY THEIR FATHER CAN'T COME HOME? DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS LIKE TO KNOW THAT THE SAME GOVERNMENT THAT IS SCREWING HIM IS THE SAME GOVERNMENT THAT HE VOLUNTEERED TO FIGHT FOR AND PROTECT? HE WAS IN THE NAVY IN DESERT STORM AND THEN ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 HE VOLUNTEERED FOR RECALL. THERE ARE ADS ALL OVER THE TELEVISION THAT TELL US HOW IMPORTANT THAT IT IS TO VOTE. WITH THE GOVERMENT LIKE THIS, DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU HAVE EVERYONE FOOLED INTO THINKING THAT OUR VOTES REALLY COUNT? IF THEY COUNTED THEN MY HUSBAND WOULD BE HOME WITH HIS FAMILY AND HIS KIDS WOULD HAVE THEIR FATHER WITH THEM AND NOT WITH GUARDS THAT TELL THEM WHEN THEY CAN TOUCH HIM AND WHEN THEY CAN'T. HIS KIDS ARE GOING THROUGH HELL AND NO ONE SEEMS TO CARE. WELL I CARE AND UNTIL HE IS HOME AND UNTIL THESE MESSED UP LAWS ARE CHANGED THEN I DON'T THINK THAT WE SHOULD HAVE A GOVERMENT SINCE THE ONLY GOVERMENT WE HAVE SEEMS TO BE MORE CONCERNED WITH MONEY AND "FAVORS" THAN WITH FAMILY AND MORALS. IF I KNEW THAT THIS WAS THE WORLD THAT I WAS GOING TO GROW UP TO LIVE IN I WOULD HAVE DIED AT BIRTH. AT LEAST THEN THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN FAIR AND WE WOULD HAVE DECENT PEOPLE IN OFFICE AND NOT THE CROOKS THAT YOU SEE TODAY. PLEASE DON'T BE LIKE THE OTHERS. DO SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND SOMETHING THAT WILL MAKE PEOPLE WANT YOU HERE AND NOT DOWN YOU. I HEAR THAT YOU ARE A GOOD MAN SO NOW LETS SEE IT. Hi Charity, I was married to a man that went to prison for not paying his probation fees. He was in prison for several months, then in a halfway house for over a year. They took every penny he made to pay his probation fee, and fines(after he didn't pay probation fee), gave him $5.00 or $10.00 per week to buy cigarettes or whatever. His crime was hitting someone's parked car causing $150.00 worth of damage(that he paid before the court date), but he used my car. The only description that the police report had was white male. He turned himself in to prevent me from possibly going to jail, otherwise the police would have never caught him. He wasn't given any leniency because he turned himself in, as a matter of fact, it hurt him. I told him not to turn himself in, that I could prove that I didn't use the car. The courts even wanted to charge him again for the $150.00, but I had proof that it was already paid. He was also put in intensive probation after he came out of the halfway house. An idiot from probation came out to the house, looked in the refrigerator, trash, his room for alcohol. It was my house, I don't drink, but if I did, because he lived there, I could have alcohol in my house. If I had company over and they brought a bottle and put it in my trash, they could take him to jail. Their breathanalyzer didn't work most of the time. One time, I know for a fact, he was not drinking, the probation officer said he was. He also said he would have to go back to jail. In jail, there was a water shortage, he could only have l small cup of water a day. The entire time he was there he could only go outside a hour a day. That is wrong to treat human beings like that. May I may a suggestion, write your senator or congressman or vote for Sonny and then write him. Tell him what his charge was and be specific about other people and their sentences. Maybe they can help you. I'll pray for you and your family. I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU. THERE ARE SO MANY THINGS THAT MAKE ME THINK THAT THERE WAS MORE GOING ON THAN WHAT THE POLICE REPORTS STATE. THE CRAZY THING IS THAT THE ORIGINAL PROBATION WAS FOR 2 YEARS AND IN THE PAPERS THAT THE PROBATION OFFICE HAVE SHOW THAT EVEN THOUGH HE SIGNED THE PAPER STATING THAT HE UNDERSTOOD THE TERMS OF HIS PROBATION THAT HE NEVER SIGNED HIS WRITTEN PLEA. THE PAPER AT THE PROBATION OFFICE AND THE ONE THAT IS IN PUBLIC RECORDS (THAT I HAVE A CERTIFIED COPY OF) NEITHER HAVE HIS SIGNATURE ON IT. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT IF THEY DIDN'T SIGN THE PLEA THEN THEY CAN'T SENTENCE HIM BECAUSE HE HAS TO SUBMIT A PLEA FIRST. HIS PARENTS AND I WENT TO A LAWYER THAT WAS GOING TO DO A MOTION FOR RECONSIDERATION AND HE TOOK OUR $500 AND TOLD US THERE WAS NOTHING THAT HE COULD DO AND I LATER FOUND OUT THAT HE NEVER TALKED TO THE PEOPLE THAT HE SAID THAT HE WOULD. THE GOVERNMENT ONLY SEES DOLLAR SIGNS AND THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT PAY TAXES AND THE PEOPLE THAT WORK FOR A LIVING. THEY WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT IT IF THEY WERE IN OUR SHOES. Roy Barnes is not the moral leader that should be running a business as big as the state of Georgia. Immoral CEO's for Enron, World Com, etc. are facing trials due to lying and decietful practices. This is no different from Governor Roy Barnes' actions. He has lied his way into gaining more power from the people of Georgia. Barnes lied about the cost of a piece of property for the Northern Arc. He paid 10 million of tax payer money to buy a piece of land appraised at 2 million. It is also strange that the DOT states that the Arc will not help traffic, yet several of Barnes' major campaign and political donors have land around the future highway. BARNES LIED. In additon, Barnes stated that he would never do away with the state flag. After getting reelected, Barnes pushed the issue through the legislature in less than a week because he was trying to avoid the criticism that would ensue. Barnes gave many legislatures tax money for their own special needs in their districts in exchange for there vote for the flag change. AGAIN BARNES LIED. Barnes also stated in 1990 that he did not want the lottery in Georgia and refused to give people a referendum vote. Now Barnes says that he is the sole advocate of the HOPE scholarship. No lottery equals no HOPE. BARNES LIED AGAIN. Next, Daimler-Chrysler has only tentatively chosen Savannah as a possible future plant area. Barnes went to Savannah and stated that the plant was definately being built in Savannah. He also stated that the flag and education issues made Daimler Chrysler choose Georgia over South Carolina for the location of the plant. Funny how the Governor of South Carolina and Daimler Chrysler state that these two issues have nothing to do with the plant. Barnes is again trying to take credit for his two most unpopular decisions, the flag and education reform, and make them look like good decisions. BARNES LIED ABOUT THE PLANT AND REASONS WHY THEY CHOSE GEORGIA. Roy Barnes believes that the people of Georgia will be tricked and manipulated into believing his lies. And each vote that he gains only proves him right. It is time for Georgia to stand up and say that "we will not be lied to and taken as people who can not think on our own." We don't have to be told what is right and wrong by a dictator in Atlanta. There is not one Barnes supporter who can look trutfully into the mirror at night and believe that they do not support a crook and an immoral, liar. We have people in the Wonderful State of Georgia that will vote Democrat just because that is what their grandparents or parents did. The democrats can't be trusted in alot of cases. I don't vote party, unless I agree 100% or close to it. For the most part, Republicans are against abortion, and other immoral issues. Have some of you read about the gross partial birth abortion, it sickens me to think of a 9 month old baby being killed? Read and do some research what most democrats believe in. You just might change your vote, especially if you are conservative. I love this website for being able to vent! Found this in the AJC's Political Insider by Tom Baxter and Jim Galloway. It was good for a MORNING LAUGH on The BIG GUY. He has to go also!!!!! Along with Gov. Barnes.
------------------------------------------------------------
Trying to take off the 10 pounds the TV camera puts on. On Sunday night, the candidates for lieutenant governor were slugging it out on Georgia Public Television. Steve Stancil, the Republican, was bearing the brunt of a Mark Taylor jeremiad that portrayed Stancil as against the HOPE scholarship. "I thought it would be a good thing to talk about something else," Stancil said. So he asked the Big Guy, "Why is there tape on your collar?" Actually, it was under Taylor's collar -- a strand of flesh-colored tape across the back of his neck that apparently was designed to draw the lieutenant governor's skin a bit tighter. And Stancil launched into his own spiel about putting on a "good face" -- and so forth. "It was a legitimate issue. What's he trying to fake?" said Clint Austin, Stancil's main man. The Stancil team had gotten wind of Taylor's slimming strategy from a 1998 debate. Taylor's people were reluctant to discuss the matter Monday, as can be expected. Spokeswoman Kristi Huller would neither confirm nor deny the use of any such tactic. "The only person that needed tape last night was Steve Stancil. Over his mouth," she said. I, True Evil, sneak Cirrus from Adrian. Hi,I'm sorry I don't understand your point, please elaborate. I personally wouldn't believe anything Taylor had to say, even his own mother probably doesn't belive him, that's BAD! I doubt that Stancil is against the Hope scholarship, he would be dumb to be against that! king roy has been against the Hope scholarship for the last twelve years. Read his record on the website: votesonny.com But no one asks him about his turnaround just before reelection time. He's is quite a sneak! Changes like a maple leaf in the fall! It's shocking how in a set of counties that are controlled and run by Democrats, how Democrat voters continue to blame Jeb Bush(Gov. of Florida) for what happen in 2000 Gen. or 2002 primary elections. On accessatlanta.com there some people saying how it would be better if he was replaced with a Democrat. This shows how Nov 5 is not only important to Georgia, but the rest of the country. Look at what they did in the 2000 election in Florida. I still can't believe they wanted to count voided ballots. After Jeb Bush approved the money to buy them voting machines, the precints in those areas still reported numerous problems. I don't predict a good and fair election for Jeb Bush in Florida this year from those counties. I went to the Georgia website for our voting machines and they claim that the votes will be placed on three different portions of the machines and the machines will not be connected to the internet, but as you've said, I don't put anything past them. The website for the voting machines is www.georgiacounts.com As a person who has voted Libertarian several times in the past, I am asking for some help on Nov. 5th. Both times Bill Clinton was elected, he received less votes than Bush OR Gore did in the last election. The effect that Ross Perot had was devastating to the Republican candidates. We need help from the Libertarians this time. Although I don't personally like to vote AGAINST a certain candidate, I was going to do so this time to try to insure Roy didn't get reelected. A vote for the Libertarian candidate would actually help the King remain in power, and I couldn't bring myself to vote for anyone but Sonny (I've already voted absentee). After meeting Sonny at a campaign stop and researching the choices, I am confident he is the right man for the job. I didn't end up just voting against Roy; I genuinely wanted to vote for Sonny even though I consider myself a Libertarian. Scott, You are absolutely correct! Internal Republican polls show this race to be much closer than the liberal media would have you believe. We MUST get rid of roy. To any Libertarian, please vote for Sonny Perdue. It's interesting to note that the state "powers that be" will now allow a Green Party candidate to be placed on the ballot for governor. The reason being is that Green Party candidates tend to pull votes from Democrats while Libertarians tend to pull votes from Republicans. So barnes is using the Libertarians to help get re-elected. Let's show barney we're onto his game. Thank You! I know...just call me a glutton for punishment but I took a peek at Bill Shipp's website today. He cites polls that show Sonny Perdue losing to barnes in Sonny's home district. I honestly do not believe that to be the case. But I just had a thought. Maybe they're putting out these unbelieveable polls before the election so when they "fix" the electronic voting machines, they can say that the polls showed Sonny way behind. I still say it's going to be close. I've asked 100 people who they're voting for and only 2 have said barney. I also wonder about some of these polls. I see Sonny Perdue signs everywhere here in Savannah. The few barnes signs that go up seem to disappear by the next day. (I promise it's not me taking them down) I sure hope we surprise 'em on November 5th whey Sonny wins. If these polls are correct you need to stay away from my friends, because someone is not telling the truth. I could not find 10 people that say they are going to vote for Gov. Barnes. I have talked to people all over the state and I have not heard of 1 person voting for Roy Barnes. This is the typical liberal media trying to discourage conservatives from voting. It happened in the area of Florida that is in the Central Time Zone (predominately Republican) during the 2000 election when the newschannels called Florida for Gore at 7:00 Eastern Time. As for the GC@SU poll, I go to school at GC@SU and have not talked to anyone voting for Barnes. Funny that they state that only 30% is voting for Perdue in his home district because Barnes and the legislature has given millions of dollars to GC@SU for remodeling of the old Governor's Mansion. The GC@SU poll is very possible biased due to these millions of dollars of tax money. I have not seen but one barnes sign in all of northeast Georgia...and I travel a lot in this area. There are literally thousands of Perdue signs. I know no one who is for barnes either. My advice...get out and VOTE, regardless of what the liberal media states. We can sho em on election day...if those machines ain't rigged! It definitely worries me that every poll shows Barnes ahead around 48% to 42%. It also worries me that they are trying to have 300 "practice" voting machines in Fulton County. The Election Board doesn't want these machines because of the potential for fraud. We can only hope that the magnifying glass on the election in Florida insures that we have a fair election in Georgia also.

Remember this about polls: They can be manipulated to provide whatever result is wanted. And also remember that the polls are done based on registered voters. Only about 20% of registered voters actually vote. I've also heard people say that if they participated in one of these polls, they were going to lie and say they would vote for Barnes. They wanted him to be overconfident, and then lose.

If 20% of Roy Barnes supporters vote, and 25% of Sonny Perdue supporters vote, Sonny will win. It's all about voter turnout. Make every effort to insure that these people who say they are voting for Sonny, actually get off their butts and go to the polls next Tuesday. Here is a stat that was quoted at a recent Northern Arc Task Force meeting: If only 5% more registered voters turned out in heavy Republican Forsyth County during the last election, Barnes would have lost.
