Most people these days do not know that the FIRST version of Christianity (the one by Jesus, or whatever was his real name) included a communal lifestyle and a sharing of possessions, as partly described in Acts 2 and Acts 4. Not many wanted that, in the same way as many don't want that these days either. All members of the "Kingdom of God" always OBEYED God's requiremens, and these days, too, very many do NOT want to do that.
..... Jesus insisted on only high-quality persons as members, while after he was killed by the Romans the aim was changed from only high-quality to high-quantity of members, never mind their quality. Suitable sales literature and preachings were/are very successful - now already about 1/3 of this planet's population think they are "Christians".
