Subject: The Church is not the problem...

...its the people. I am just a boy, only 2 weeks ago I turned 17, so I dont expect you to listen to me. But you are mistaken about the fact that the Church is different from the way God planned it to be. Indeed, everything is in place according to my understanding. However it is the priesthood of the faithful 1 Peter 2:9 and Vatican II that is in err.
The Holy Spirit is present at mass and in all the sacraments I know this because I have felt it. If you cannot its because other factors are clouding your perception. The purpose of the Church is to mystically unite the people with their God. Chanting the litanies, mediating on God, these things are practices that spawn mysticism and indeed the structure of the Church is further varification of this.
For you see, before the fall of man humankind was the perfect reflection of God. Soul, Mind and Flesh perfectly correponding to Father, Son and Spirit. We were the Image of God. But the fall of man changed that. The Son corresponds to the mind of God, his Logos as they used to say in the 1st century. He conveys and manifests the divine wisdom. Your mind being made in his image should do the same. But due to Satan's trickery we ate the fruit and it destroyed the perfect equilibrium of our essence. The mind gained dominance over the soul and as a consequence evil was introduced into the world. In Eden they walked naked because there was no insecurity afterwards all there was, was insecurity. Social security, financial security, national security. Ultimately problems arise when we are insecure. But the Soul is aware that God can bring it security again and so hungrily seeks Him. However the mind being poisoned by the fruits of 'knowledge' cannot truly interpret and manifest this desire. So it seeks security from worldly sources immersing itself in the pleasures of the flesh. This is where sin entered the world. For because this worlds pleasures were so transient they could not sate the soul and made its desire for God grow more. The mind in turn misinterpreted this desire and greed entered the world. Pride and greed gave birth to lust, gluttony, envy, wrath and sloth and in no time God's creation was perverted by the serpents plan. Worse though were the consequences to the soul. St Augustine in his Handbook of Faith, Hope & Love writes that good can exist without evil but evil cannot exist without good because evil is a corruption of good. Thus what does not exist cannot be corrupted. Hence the we get the tree of knowledge of good AND evil. Before that good was merely 'normal' they didnt know any different. Thus sin as abnormal. Hence St Paul calls it living according to the fleshy tablets of the heart. Conscience is not mentioned in the Old Testament in the reason only the word heart is and it is for a reason. The Prophets all felt the Holy Spirit. But sin as I said is like a cancer. An abnormal growth which kills the soul. The devil knew all of this when he set us up for the fall. He wanted us to share in his damnation and his plan went pretty well, so well that 2,000 years ago Christ had to come and fix things. He left us the loving warmth of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit that burns in my heart as I write to you brothers and sisters. He left His Love to give us security. Unlike in other religions you need do nothing more than ask for the Spirit of Truth to enter you and it will. You can chant litanies and meditate. But in reality it takes Faith, Hope and Love to mystically unite yourselves with God and engage in His warmth. For you Soul to be free and happy, as mine is becoming each day even more. The Church is structured in such a way that you need do nothing. The sacraments are all straightforward and simply presented to give you security. God knows all hinges on that fact. Thus he gives the ordained the authority to get everything ready and lets you stroll in take the sacrament and leave. He taught me Himself how to bring out the Spirit in those sacraments and you can find the template in my article 'The Garden' at http://emeth_online.tripod.com/ though I would recommend merely asking. I promise He will come. He has decreed it. He does not decieve. If you do this, if you ask Him in tearful want, you will feel Him. He will comfort you, His children and you will know that the Church teaching that the sacraments are vehicles of His grace is true.
Then you will also know it is your responsibility to bring this to life and preach it to others. You are a faithful priesthood of preachers, you are members of a 'Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church' called to spread the gospel of peace. Called to allow others to experience the mystical grace of God in open hearts like Garvan Brownes. My brothers and sisters you are called to tell the world, for in opening all hearts to his security insecurity and sin end and the peace of promise will be realised. God wants us back, He wants to make earth into Eden again. "Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven". Thats the meaning of the Church and if it has been forgotten that this is what we are called to do. Then we have to ressurect that idea and become orchastators and engineers of Christ's Peace and eternal reign on the earth.
