chuckles softly...

you are so much like my Morrigan that you can't see it... She too has had to be the protector... she is the oldest of 4 children, my sister's children. She was cast out of her own home, had nothing but her horse and her clothing. When she met my Shani and my 'Randa, she saved their lives. She taught Shani how to weild a blade, how to think calmly and how to live.

Morrigan, yes, has a temper - so do you from what I see. But don't condemn her for it. It's harder for her than you can imagine Miss Koda. If I know my girl right now, she's sobbing her eyes out that she couldn't protect Shanelle.

Miranda, is like your Manon. She is Shanelle's birth sister, the only one she's got. Morrigan and Pandora were 'adopted' along the way, just as your Devon and Shayle. Now, Shanelle would not have made the provisions she did if she didn't think that Morrigan and Shades of Night could capably handle everything. Give them a chance before you assume they will change things... you might be surprised you know.

As for Miranda being a hothead, ~soft chuckle~ "When You Are Queen, You ARE Queen!" I have something in my favor that Miranda doesn't - age and experience. She's still new at this and struggling to balance duties with her own emotions.

she stands from the rock and brushes the leaves off of her skirts..

My advice... take the time to get to know your new business partners. Don't condemn them for something they have yet to do.

nods and sets the bundle of clean clothing down on the rock for you, then makes her way back to the camp...
