I used to live in Boise for about a year trying to get there but ended up at SEA TRACON. Boise is a level 8 up/down but they are losing the tracon in 2011 to Salt Lake so it looks like it might drop to level 7. There is a good mix of civil and military since it is a half military half civil field. They do get some mil transient traffic from mountain home. other than that the people are extremely nice there and the town is awesome. Great VFR weather almost all year long. Any other questions please feel free to ask.
