I have been working at the Washington DC Hub since last June. I have talked with my managers and as far as I know Lockheed has tons of people schedueled for training and that is going to continue. The classes in Prescott, AZ are 10 weeks long and I have heard they are running multiple classes since they need a lot of people. I had a phone interview in January 2007 that was only a few minutes long. Note that some people decided to fly out to their facility to interview. While it is not nesseasry to get the job it shows a lot of initiative and they seemed impressed with the people who did that. You could probably even just come out and visit the DC hub facility to tour and talk to the managers. They are extremly nice and have a lot of hiring power with human resources. 2 weeks later exactly after my phone interview they called me to tell me I got the job and they overnighted a package with all the paperwork. The packet sent is similar to the FAA with an offer letter and all the applications and paperwork that you have to fill out. Just like with the FAA you will need to fill out an SF85 for public trust positions and be fingerprinted. They will also give you the information on housing and perdiem while you are in Prescott. If you are wondering about your application status or any other questions I'd try contacting Mellisa Drucis (858) 277-0503 x134 melissa.a.drucis@lmco.com. If you have any quesions about what the job is like or benefits etc.. feel free to email me at akandt@gmail.com
