As far as 'better' I dont know. I think that in HS Andrew was a much bigger loser than Jonathan. Andrew was the kid no one even heard of. Jonathan at least got attention with his loseryness. Jonathan had some backbone and ideas. Stupid ideas. The writers jerked him around a lot because he was a lil interesting, so he had no...set personality. You would think after being saved by Buffy he wouldve gotten a clue and started doing the right thing. But NO. So very self serving. I liked him part of the time and the rest of the time I was generally pissed. Why would he be helping Warren fight against Buffy and the Scoobs? She treated him like a fellow human. Jonathan dint seem to learn from his experiences.
Andrew on the other hand lives for even a lil attention, and will conform himself to whatever the person paying attention wants. He wasnt evil, he was a hanger on. He wasnt good either(later), he was just trying to fit himself into the Scooby gang somewhere. Given the proper guidance he turns into a decent guy. Morally. Still a prat.
