And hey, I get the not getting it thing. Different strokes, and all that. (Heh. "Strokes". *cough*)

For me, I think a lot of it originally stemmed from the fact that there aren't too many female characters I really like; I used to be a real tomboy, and couldn't identify with 99% of female characters around. As such, I wanted nothing to do with them, and preferred to concentrate on the guys, instead. ;)

These days, I like more female characters (although still definitely prefer male), but I still don't like romance much. And since you generally don't get the actual romance in slash, I'm happy. (Plus, I'm a sucker for subtext. *g*)

I do miss watching Angel. But that whole "bitter" thing, and that "hating Joss" thing I just can't get over... sigh. Pity. I miss a lot of the characters. However, most of the characters I liked are gone -- Doyle, Lindsey, et cetera. (And, of course, there could be a whole lot of other people gone since I stopped watching -- think I've heard about one or two, but not sure.) I still miss Wes, and, to a fair extent, Gunn. Even missed Angel himself once or twice -- wish I still had some of those silly s1 eps on tape.

Sigh.

On the upside, I'm watching very little TV these days. I have three set hours per week of TV. Yeah, you throw in random news reports, random Simpsons watching, and Australian Idol (my sister watches it all the time -- can't escape it), and the amount of TV rises considerably, but at the moment, there are only three hours of stuff I really hate missing. (Six Feet Under, Farscape, Kath&Kim and CNNNN, if you really need to know.)

I miss the days of lots of good TV to choose from. Damnit, I miss high-quality X-Files. Where's my X-Files, damnit?
