Subject: Season Finals and a Series Final [not spoilery]
In reply to: Doyle 's message, "Yayness! Someone else who wasn't really fond of 'The Gift' as a season final (since you ranked it almost as the worst;) and LOL, Brack..." on 00:37:47 05/31/03 Sat

Wow, you really must've hated S7's final since you had it as the worst season final ever.

Not at all. It just had to go last.

*breaks it down*

Season Two - Is first because, hi? Angelus. Whistler. The Fight. Close your eyes. Full of Grace. Everything. It was a beautiful episode.

Season One - Has to be near the top. It was the first one. And Buffy's whole, "I'm sixteen I don't want to die speech." still makes me cry.

Season Three - I'll always love this one. Everyone fought. And I still get all proud weepyish when Buffy yells, "Now." and they show the entire graduating class ready to kick some Mayor ass. *sighs*

Season Four - I think part of the reason why this one isn't liked by some is because it didn't have a big fight like we were all used to. But I luuuuurved the dreams in it. I don't claim to understand them. But I liked them because they were so real dream like.

Season Six - I hated the magick addiction. I *hated* that they killed off Tara to make Willow the Big Bad. But I adored Scary-Veiny Willow so much. Sure, she could've done more damage. Been more Big Bad-y. "Uh oh, Daddy's home. I'm in wicked trouble now." Love that line. And Xander's talk to her on the bluff? *sniffles*

Season Five - I liked bits of this episode. Willow's "She's with me." mind suck of Glory. Tara's, "I got so lost." [love the delivery on that] Dawn's, "And I wish you'd fall on your head and drown in your own barf, so...::shrugs:: I guess we're both disappointed." Buffy's look as she realises that she can be the one to jump. The crying over her body. And of course this -

Boy: H-how'd you do that?
Angle on Buffy's back as she walks toward the door. She doesn't turn or stop as she replies
Buffy: It's what I do.
Boy: But you're ... you're just a girl.
Buffy pauses in the doorway
Buffy: That's what I keep saying.

So you see? That's why Season Seven had to go last. It just didn't fit in anywhere else. *g*
