The flights to/from Ireland were very uncomfortable. Having hardly any leg room when you're a tall person is not much fun (even less fun when the person in front of you puts their seat back). But we were on Singapore airlines most of the way and everyone had a small tv in front of them which you could watch movies, play video games on etc so that made the flights at least somewhat okay. I got to see alot of movies I probably woulda hired once they came onto video. Still, the flights were the worst part. It took 7 hours to get from Australia to Singapore, we stayed at Singapore for a night then the next day it took 14 hours to get to London airport, we stayed there for a couple of hours then in took 50 minutes to get to Ireland. From that point on our whole concept of time screwed up and we were quite tired. Did you know the sun doesn't go down in Ireland till about 11:00PM? Of course it was their summer while we were there. Still cold tho. Rained quite a bit (which I liked:)

We travelled all around Ireland. We stayed at B&Bs (bed and breakfest it stands for) and got the same thing at every single place for breakfest ie. bacon, eggs, sausage, tomato. Lots of driving was involved. We shocked ppl by telling them how far we'd travelled. Went to see things like castles, museums, art galleries, churches etc. Went of a boat ride through some underground caves. I kissed the Blarney stone (which I actually thought was gonna be worse than it was...but still, if everyone kissed the same stone wouldn't it be highly germinated?) We went to Waterford crystal, we went to the guinness distillery (got a free guinness), we went to the whisky distillery (taste-tested LOTS of free samples - very strong stuff, whisky, by itself), went on an ABC tour (Another Bloody Church, Another Bloody Castle), went to both North and South Ireland (preferred the South), went on a black taxi tour through Belfast, drunk lots of guinness, drunk LOTS of coffee, ate Irish stew, saw very little road kill (tho there was some. one we thought mighta been a badger) took lots of photos, did heaps of stuff I'm not getting into detail about here and on the way home, in Singapore we went to the night safari.
