"What? Hello? Who the heck is this?" Todd slammed the phone down.

"Who was that?" Blair asked as she came down the penthouse stairs.

"I don't know. I was hoping that you would tell me Blair. Who the hell are you running around with behind my back? Is it Max?" He glared at her.

"I don't know what you're talking about Todd." Blair batted her eyes at him.

"I'm sure you don't. Then why the hell is somebody callin' my house and not talking when I answer the phone? Explain that one."

"Todd I really have no idea what you are talking about. You know I would never do anything to hurt you Todd, we're past all the games." She reached out to touch his shoulder. Todd flinched and pulled away from her touch.

"You better not be playing some freakin' game with me Blair. You know what happened the last time you played me for a fool. I'm warning you...You better NEVER do it again!! Do you hear me?" He got in her face.

"Do you Blair??? 'Cause if you do you'll be sorry!"

"For the last time I am not playing you Todd Manning! I love you,Todd, can't you see that? I would never hurt you again on purpose! I gotta get outta here. I'm going out for some air."

Blair took out the door of the penthouse in a flurry of emotions. Todd riled up more emotions in her than anyone else in the world.

She took out of the elevator into the parking garage of the penthouse like a bat out of hell. Furious is the only word that could describe her at the moment.

Upstairs inside the penthouse, Todd was pacing in typical Todd fashion. That is IF anything about Todd Manning was typical.

"Manning you are so stupid! You know she's changed. She wouldn't dare screw you over again." He ran his hands over his face, then glanced at his watch.

"Damn, I gotta pick Shorty up from school." Todd grabbed his jacket and car keys off the desk and headed toward the stairwell.

Blair was throwing things from the backseat of her Tiburon to the trunk, trying to burn off some steam. She was horrified that Todd would accuse her of seeing someone on the sly. She thought he knew her. Matter of fact, that was the whole problem. Todd knew her too well. She grabbed the last bit of stuff from her backseat and threw it into the trunk.

Her mind was so preoccupied, she didn't notice the vehicle that was approaching her way to fast.

Todd burst out of the stairwell in a hurry. He didn't want to be late, and have Starr believe he had forgotten about her and his promise to take her for ice cream after school.

He came around the corner just in time to see a vehicle headed directly for Blair.

"Blair move!!" He screamed as he ran toward her.

Blair turned toward him just seconds before the silver Pontiac Aztek came within mere inches of her body. Todd hurriedly dialed 911, and informed them of what he saw.

"It's me. Mission accomplished."
