The couplet at the end of the sonet alters the meaning because during the whole peice he was talking about how he thinks his mistress is not beautiful and comparing her to things that would make someone beautiful to her, in which is not so beautiful. But in the end, he tells the reader how he loves her like no one else, and how his love his so rare.

Shakespeare mocks the aspects of the traditional sonnet by using things that a normal person in love would compare their maiden. He also did not use complete iambic pentameter.
