"Hope and Rebirth"
The leaves fall one by one to the soft earth,
Each one with its own story to share.
They paint the forrest with the hope of rebirth,
And as they fall, they say a silent prayer.
They are put under a blanket of snow,
But are remembered in our hopes and dreams.
After much grieving, the sun starts to glow.
And a new spring begins and redeems.
We forget the past and start all anew.
The flowers spring up to blossom once more
Then leaves start to droop, they know what to do.
They are fighting a death they cannot ignore.
Some live to tell the changing of seasons,
Of the hope and rebirth, but none know the reasons.
