Re the Air valves.. The shocks may have been replaced with progressives which dont need air.. Do your rear shocks have the air ports on the top of them?.. Stock are black with a rubber shroud over the springs.. Progressives are either black or chrome with visible springs and a manual preload adjustment unless they are the 416 series which are air..
the Shift problem is a bent selector.. Engine out im afraid..
