Check the float bowl seals as well.. If you have pinched one, there's your leak..
Float height is 17mm from just touching the needle valves..
Need to hold carbs at an angle and not straight up because the weight of the floats will cause the needle spring to compress..
If you didnt replace the bowl seals, then these are a prime culprit.
Also.. If you replaced the needle valves, unless you used the original hangers (the wire W holders), after market hangers can be too big and foul causing the float valve to never close..
