Subject: Clutch feel when not running

So remember this is my first motorcycle.

I got everything back together and it won't start but that's not my main question.

My question is this, with the motorcycle in 1st and the clutch lever pulled in, shouldn't I have no resistance from the clutch? Shouldn't I be able to roll the motorcycle freely?

In neutral the motorcycle moves around freely. However, with the motorcycle in any gear and even with the clutch lever pulled in, I feel resistance in the clutch.

Mind you, the clutch plates are reused and I dipped them in motor oil before installing them back in. I am just afraid that when I do get this thing starts it may take off on me.

Either way it's definitely a good sign considering I took it all apart because of 99% slippage.

On a side not it no longer turns over. The connector the side stand sensor is still connected, the clutch lever sensor is still connected. I didn't do anything else to it so I am at a loss. I found a few posts about the starter relay. Anybody have an idea where that is located?
