Subject: No more Taco Bell?

The sounds of Soulfly reverberate through the Von Braun family basement as Brian pumps away at bench presses, counting them out loudly as he finishes each rep. His friend Eric is spotting him as Brian barely finishes the set and shakily sets the bar on the rack. Brian sits up and wipes the sweat off of his forehead with a towel.

Eric: So have you heard anything yet?

Brian: Not yet, but I'm waiting. I just know that any day now, I'm gonna get a letter from NWA, WWE or even the RWF. How many years have you known me Eric?

Since the third grade...so I guess ten years or so?

And how many years since I decided that I wanted to be a professional wrestler?

As long as I've known you man.

That's right. I've been training since I was 12 years old. Dieting, exercising, studying tapes... I was the Missouri State Wrestling Champion, and now I'm the IWA Heavyweight Champion. Eric, I've accomplished all I can in the indies, it's time for me to hit the big leagues and show them what I'm made of.

Almost as if on queue, Brian's mother excitedly runs down the stairs waving a large manilla envelope in the air.

Mom: It's here Brian, it's here!!! You got mail from the RWF!

Brian's face lights up as he stands and takes the envelope from his mother. The RWF logo prominently stands out in the upper left hand corner, and Brian takes a second to just look at it before he opens it up and finds a contract inside. His eyes widen as he sees the money being offered to him.

Well??? Don't keep us in suspense! What's the word?

Mom, you're son's going to be a star!

Brian's mother embraces him and cries into his chest as he smiles at Eric.

Oh I'm so proud of you son!

Yeah man, that's awesome. Just try not to forget the little guy will ya?

What are you talking about? You're my best friend! I could be a billionaire, and you know I wouldn't forget about you man.

Speaking of forgetting, we'd better go! We're gonna be late for work.

Taco Hell??? Forget that, I'm an RWF superstar now! I will never fix another crappy quesadilla again. You go ahead. I have a lot of phone calls to make. This letter says that I need to get to Juno to work out the details and finish signing the contract as soon as possible. Just think, you're gonna see me on TV soon!

I can't wait to see my baby on TV!

What about the IWF?

What about it? I'll just take the belt in to Bob and tell him to find himself a new champion, because I'm moving up!
