Subject: Barbecue and challenge

Mackey and the rest of the strike team are all in Vic's backyard. Mackey is working the grill with hot dogs and burgers. Mackey's kids and the other strike team member's kids, girlfriends and wives are lounging about in the pool.

"Vic, how are we?" Vic's wife Corrine asks. "A few more minutes you can being out the buns" Vic replies. Corrine comes out. "Did you tell Matthew he could keep a spider in his room?" Corrine asks. "It's for a school project" Vic replies. "If that thing gets loose..." Corrine says as Vic interrupts her. "It won't" "It better not" Corrine replies, she kisses Vic and goes back inside.

Vic's daughter Cassandra, runs and jumps in the pool. "Hey, what did I tell you about jumping in the pool" Vic says. He turns back to the grill and Det. Terry Crowley. "They grow up too quickly, especially in the job we got" Vic says.

Terry nods and says "Well, what we're doing, it has to be done" Ya think?" Vic laughs. "My dad was a cop, he'd admire guys like you." Terry says. "Those we're some honest to God men back then..." Vic says as he turns to the others "...Shane, get a camera crew down here, I wanna do a promo" Shane grabs his cell phone.

"Problem is, guys like Capt. Aceveda, they'd never understand" Terry continues. "What do you expect from a damn quota baby." Vic replies as he flips the burgers. "He'll never understand..." Terry sighs "...I think I can be a lot more useful to you. Do more then just drive." Vic nods. "Vic..." Shane yells "...the crew will be here in a few minutes"

15 minutes later...

The RWF camera crew arrives at Vic's house. Everyone is enjoying their food out back, so Vic goes out front to meet the crew. "Where do you want us Detective?" The cameraman asks. "Over there near the front door" Vic says as he takes his place in front of the camera. "Action" The director says.

"Well, well, well. It appears that a cop is about to take the RWF by storm. I'm gonna make this short and sweet. Next week on Hangover, i want a shot at the Intercontinental Champion, Vanity ShowWood. I expect to hear from you soon punk."

A few hours later...

Vic and the strike team are the only ones remaining in the backyard. All the women and kids have gone inside. "Anyway, like I said. Two Time never keeps drugs at his place, but tomorrow night is the exception." Vic says. "What's so special about tomorrow night?" Kurt Lemansky asks. "He's gearing up for a big bash on Thursday, I guess it's his birthday or something. He's handing out coke as party favors. It's our one chance to nail him with the dope." Vic says.

"Lock and load baby" Shane says. Everyone laughs. "Yeah, and on top of that Terry here is losing his cherry, he's coming with us" Vic says. Everyone congratualtes him.
