Según el libro I Ain't Got Time to Bleed , J. Ventura dice que el problema que tuvo con Hogan fue debido a que el (Jesse)se reunió con todos los luchadores de WWF tras bastidores para proponerles organizar un sindicato de luchadores y sabotear junto con todos los luchadores un Wrestlemania si McMahon no accedía a la formación del sindicato.
Según Ventura Hogan (quien el consideraba su amigo) estuvo de acuerdo con la formación del sindicato y el posible boicot, pero tan pronto Hogan salió del locker room llamó a Vince McMahon y le contó los planes de J. Ventura.
