Ese "virus" como le llamas es algo que existe desde probablemente el mismo tiempo que existe la Lucha moderna. Es todo parte de mantener al fanático del luchador popular o bueno en suspenso esperando siempre una reacción final.
Te imaginas lo aburrido que sería la lucha si el que se supone debe ganar (en el caso tuyo The Rock) se mete en el ring y le da una paliza en 30 segundos al "malo". O peor aún que el luchador "villano" apalee al popular por 10 minutos y este último nunca reaccione.
