She just sat there, looking at the water flushing and rushing from the faucet as it plunged into the raising water line to resurface in a mass of suds. She was like a doll, totally still as he stripped off her freezing clothing. Reducing her to her bra and nameless panties, he scooped her up and submersed her in the water. Switching off the faucet, he stood watching her for a moment with question. Shaking his head, he realized he could do nothing else for her and left promptly. He walked down the hall. It was a short hall but was cloaked in the darkness of the late hours that were coming upon them. Into the guest bedroom and to the partially shut door, he lingered outside of it for a moment before rapping gently. “You alright in there?” He questioned. “There’s some towels under the cabinet there and some soap suds there too. Help yourself to anything you need.” His eyes glanced around the room as he parted from the door, having yet no response from him. “I’ll lay out a bathrobe for you here on the bed. I don’t know if your interested, but you can stay the night here if you’d like. You can have this room…it’s the least I can do for you saving her…I know why she did it…but what I don’t understand is why you’d bother saving her. No offense, but you don’t look the knight in shining armor type.” He tried to laugh it off, but it sounded force and alien to his vocal cords. If he felt like explaining, he could have at it now. Otherwise he had already set himself into motion for the kitchen and the ladies waiting out there.:.
