 She stepped into the apartment. Her eyes darted from the counters stocked with beer and food then to the coaches probably meant for the love couples. She sighed uncontently as she thought of her life. No one could love her, it was impossible. She shook her head to clear it of the unwelcomed thoughts and she stepped noiselessly to a corner. She wondered what had happened to Bleidd, he had seemed nice enough. She clutched anxiously at her pendant and automatically reached for her shoulder, but her faithful pet, Sheroma, was not there. It didn't matter, if Sheroma sensed that Illene was in trouble she would come to the rescue. She glided her small beautiful hand across her brow and swiped away some loose ends
