As she rushes out the door, she can hear Zeth follow her. As he trails behind her, she continues to walk, eyes staring ahead on the road, noticing headlights ahead. She steps up onto the footpath and continued walking. Where was she going?
"I have no idea where i'm going. I don't even know where I am." She said, staring ahead. He moved alongside her, and her eyes flicked in his direction, head kept straight. "You want me to stay? Come on, You've got Max there. I'd be intruding..." Her voice stops abruptly, and her eyes stare at him from their corners again. "I know this city is full of creeps. Everywhere is full of creeps. My whole life was based around creeps..." She stopped, staring dazedly ahead, dripping wet. She turns, and looks at him, eyes brilliant blue in the gray rain, grey pavement, grey sky...
"How do I know you won't hurt me?" She whispered, eyes scanning his face, biting her lip. "Why I don't want to stay? Because you and Max have something on, and I don't want to interrupt." She began walking again, but he caught her forearm, and she stopped, an turned.
"No, I don't know her, Zeth. No, I like her. Just don't want to intrude on you two togther..." She looked away, down the road, then back to him. She was soaked to the bone, and she smiled shyly, still a little wary about him hurting her. She knew he was a vampire, she could see his teeth when he spoke, and she was a little afraid of him biting her later on. She looked at him again, through the rain...
