Corum wasn’t too please with this new room, especially after seeing some of the graphic details noted in the tapestries. The placement of the weapons of torture didn’t do too much to settle his nerves either. That, coupled with the strange, and very eerie sound that emanated from the place, only put his nerves a bit more on edge.

The place had the feel of Hades, a place he had visited along with Marz, when they had journeyed there to retrieve Eremis’ soul. It had been filled with the cries, and gnashing of teeth, the sobs, the anguish, the torture, and all sounds that could easily drive someone crazy. Fortunately for him, he was with others that helped keep his mind off the constant surrounding sounds that the horrid place had to offer. It was definitely not a place he’d want to visit again, unless absolutely necessary.

There's a ghost out in the hall, there’s a ghoul beneath the bed. Now it's coming through the walls, now it's coming down the stairs. Then there's screaming in the dark, hear the beating of his heart. Can you feel it in the air? Ghosts be hiding everywhere.

He didn’t like the sound of Yorik as he managed to make his way to one of the alcoves, and looked around as he shivered, not from the cold, but from the eerie feeling the place emitted. All he could see were various bowls, and other objects used to mix…something together. He preferred not to think of what in the world they could have been mixing. Although this was a place of clerics of some sort, he didn’t think that they were ones that really enjoyed healing, especially the way the place depicted scenes of rape, torture, and other scenes that were a bit unsettling to him.

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing, broken your servant I kneel. It seems what's left of my human side is slowly changing in me. Looking at my own reflection when suddenly it changes. Violently it changes (oh no). There is no turning back now, you've woken up the demon in me.

“Will you keep a lid on it,” Corum whispered as he drew Yorik a bit closer to him, seeming to feel a bit better that he wasn’t really alone. He turned, and noticed that Tia, not that far from him was all alone in her alcove. How come no one was protecting her? Well, he wasn’t that comfortable on his own, so he slowly made his way toward the pretty elf, all the while hearing the strange noises coming from around him.

The feeling of total dread whisked across his body as he tensed up. He really didn’t like this place at all, and there was something very, very wrong with his surroundings. He couldn’t put his finger on it, but he did know he didn’t like it, and for the moment, didn’t care if anyone else cared either.

Suddenly appeared, and without thinking he grabbed onto the skull for protection…better yet, for a security blanket. “No offense Barry,” Corum stated. “But I really don’t like this place.” He felt a bit better holding on to the skull that continued to call him chief for whatever reason. Eventually he made his way to Tia, when the feeling of dread finally passed away.

I was not created in the likeness of a fraud. Your hell is something scary, and I prefer a loving god. We are not the center of this funny universe, and what is something worse I do not serve in fear of such a curse.

Corum finally made his way by Tia. He wasn’t sure if she was scared or not, but he placed his hand around her. “I’ll protect you Tia,” Corum stated with a trembling voice he didn’t realize he had, not to mention the fact his arm was shaking a bit. However, he did feel a bit more secure, now that he had everyone around him. Tia, Yorik, Barry, and himself. It helped…..but not much.

Am I amusing you, or just confusing you? Am I the beast you visualized? And if you wanna to see Eccentrialities, I'll be grotesque before your eyes.

“Right,” Corum stated to no one in particular. “Like that’s all we need.”
