In reply to: Ravin 's message, "In need of water" on 12:55:53 01/16/02 Wed

Isobel was half-dozing when she heard Ravin call hoarsely for water. She looked up to see if Valhorek was around, but the healer had evidently gone to get something, so she sat up groggily. Stretching and rubbing at her eyes, she said, "Un momento, Seņor Ravin. I will get you some water."

She slid off the pillows and made her way toward the tent flap. What was that stench? She frowned and looked around. It could only be coming from Justin, the disgusting pig. Some guard he was, too! Ravin's recovery must surely be suffering for his proximity to the revolting smell coming from the unconscious merc. Isobel grinned and winked at Ravin, then dragged Justin over beside Alakbar so he would not reek on Ravin or herself (she felt mildly bad about burdening Alakbar with the fumes, but there was little room in the crowded tent and besides, Alakbar was the reason Ravin was wounded to begin with). She then exited the tent and headed for the food tent for water.

Once inside she was amused to find Jeremy sucking up to the genie Saras. She nodded to Tia, Jeremy, and the genie and grabbed a pitcher of water and a goblet, heading back to the tent with them.

Valhorek had returned and was checking on his patients. He seemed to find it surprising that Justin had moved, but he didn't say anything (perhaps he realized what had happened and was being discreet).

She knelt next to Ravin, noting that Justin's personal aroma still lingered slightly in that spot, and poured him a goblet of water. "Here is your water, Seņor Ravin. Be careful... you would not wish to break open your sutures..." she said as he sat up to take the water.

Isobel looked over at Valhorek as he checked on Alakbar, giving him a small smile as he glanced in her direction. She then tiredly returned to her pillows and lay back down. Her thoughts turned to her village... and to Juan. Her hand reached up of its own accord and touched the locket she wore around her neck. She wondered where he was now. How long had it been since she had seen him? Did he ever think of her? She chuckled softly to herself. That was doubtful... but sometimes she enjoyed pretending that he regretted his actions. Someday, perhaps, she would return and see for herself. It annoyed her to no end that the man still held a place in her heart, try as she would to banish him from it.

She turned her face toward the side of the tent and closed her eyes. Soon enough it would be time to leave. Until then, she hoped nothing further happened.
