Subject: An Introduction to Remote Admin Software

Remote Admin software is also called remote access and remote control software. As the name suggests, it allows a computer to be remotely controlled and accessed by a user on another remote computer. The distance between these two computers is irrelevant so long as they are connected to the same network, which could be a LAN, WAN, or the internet. If it is the last case, then the two computers can be in completely different countries too.
With this software, users can control any system with the right authorization and will see an exact replica of the remote computer on their own desktop. Moving a mouse on their computer will move the cursor in the remote computer. If the remote computer’s user is sitting in front of the screen, he or she will be able to clearly see what the other user is doing, down to every mouse movement and click of a button.
Remote support software has become a significant and useful part of technical support teams around the world. Instead of talking the customer through a complete diagnosis and troubleshooting guide, which could take a long time if the customer is not tech savvy, the technician can directly control the computer and run diagnostics. They can find the issue and resolve it directly without troubling the customer, taking a lot of time, or going personally to the customer’s home for repair.
The use of Remote Admin software like the RHUB remote support appliance has already transformed the efficiency of tech support companies in a positive way thanks to reduced call times and fewer repeat calls. Customers are also very happy since their situation is resolved faster and they get the personal attention of the technician. However, Remote Admin software has been and can be used for things beyond tech support. Some can use it to create data servers. They can run the software on one dedicated computer and store the files they need securely. Once this is done, they can then access the data on this computer from any location in the world and from any connected computer.
Others have also used remote software for surveillance. In this case, you need a home computer with the Remote Admin software installed and a working webcam. Switch on the webcam and switch off the computer screen. You can now access your computer and the webcam from any other computer around the world. This is a great for home security in case you are leaving your baby or family pet alone for some time.
In the early years of Remote Admin software, security was a big concern. However, things are much better now and most concerns about security are without merit. If you choose a good program with the right measures, there is no need to worry anymore about others access your computer. There are several free and paid remote PC programs available today. Most free programs offer just the bare basics and may skimp on security. For this reason, it is important to choose the right software with care.
