Shinata is 20 years old and was born and raised in England, but comes from an Indian background. Shinata has been competing in Transgender beauty pageants since the age of 17 and holds a record of 18 International crowns including Miss UK Transvestite 2006, Miss Glamour Queen UK 2006, Miss Gay India 2007, T-Girl of the year 2008, Outstanding Achievement Award International Queen of Nations 2007 and was a runner up in Spices Next Top Supermodel, Miss Mango Tree International 2007 and Miss Alternative London 2007. Shinata has also competed in the Miss Ladyboy International, Miss Gay International and Miss Exillio pageants. Shinata is a celebrity icon in England, and works as a successful showgirl, dancer and model. Shinata is the face of the ‘Royal Albert Kennedy Trust’ and has appeared in over 100 International magazines and newspapers and has also had a television documentary made on her life for BBC titled ‘Shinata’s World’ which follows Shinata’s journey through two International beauty pageants including International Queen of Nations 2007 where Shinata makes the top 8 finalists and is crowned with the Outstanding Special achievement award and also at Miss Mango Tree International 2007 where Shinata is crowned as the overall 2nd runner up. Shinata is also a journalist and has her own official gossip page and blog for a mainstream British Asian Magazine called Brit-Asian. In 2008 Shinata Sangha was approached by a director to star in Bollywood Movie titled Kingcon which has now been re named to the ‘SHOWMAN’ starring Celina Jaitley and Govinda, Shinata’s role was of an exotic Indian stripper in a London based nightclub, it is not yet known if Shinata has accepted the role, however she was in India in late 2008 to meet the directors of the film.
