In reply to: Moonlight 's message, "The Friend When All Else Is Gone" on Saturday, April 10, 05:14:14pm

The strangers turned their heads as Moonlight broke off from the herd to come towards them.

"Oh look ... "
The voice of the mare floated lightly on the air. She stepped in place a little nervously as she spoke, moving forward a little, then back. She was a slightly gawkish looking horse; all knobbly knees and fat stomach with a body that somehow seemed just a little out of proportion all over. Her pelt, greyish in the darkness, was wildly spotted all across with white and black. 'Pretty enough', you could say, if you were being charitable. Her face was straight and pointed and surprisingly sensitive looking, her dark eyes looking at the other mare with guileless interest as she nickered back with a questioning tone, went to say something, but then bit it back with a brief little glance at her companion.

"Greetings," the stallion replied to Moonlight on cue, his tone light and friendly. "My name is Jan. My daughter's name is Poetry."

"Hello." The mare said, as she moved a few steps up to stand beside him.

The stallion's gaze was more intense than his daughter's - a little too intense perhaps as he fixed his regard on the lead mare's eyes. He was beautiful, extremely so ... smaller than Moonlight but lithe with muscle, his every curve delicate and near perfect. His body was an even gold, his fine silken forelock falling over a slender and perfect line of white down the centre of his face. His nostrils flared just a fraction as he took in the scents around him; the scent of the black mare before him. He waited for a reply.

((Bam! Namechange! Just like that, pow! Man, it literally took days to write this, IDEK it was weird. I had like the whole thing written out but all the parts were in the wrong order and I'd rearrange them and they'd be in the wrong order again.))
