Subject: A perfect cherry blossom is a rare thing

The raven brute trotted confidently across the rolling hills, not really caring where his actions took him. It was green here, greener than it had a right to be considering the valley his was currently traveling through. He was too high up to have such green open meadows, the trees somehow keeping only to the edges of the mountains...

What sort of magic would it take to create a place like this, so perfect for a large herd of horses... Yet he hadn't seen a single equine all day. He'd chased a few coyote's but had seen no life beside the smaller creatures. Slowing, his massive hooves planted firmly in the grass to stop his momentum. Tilting his muzzle skyward, he scented the wind, snorting as all he smelt was pine. Though somewhere in there was an odd odor... Something reminiscent of a mare, though not distinctly so...

Curiosity killed the cat, but it usually only got the horse a nose full of porcupine quills. But he'd recovered from that without too many scars. Drawing a deep breath, he let loose a long call to any equine within earshot. He wanted to know if this land was occupied, if he should keep moving or if he could enjoy the land for a while.
