A smear across the ivory ground appeared on the horizon, and for a time it appeared as if it did not approach, nor retreat, but had appeared like magic. Not so... A time passed, and gradually the smear began to change, to shift and take a definite shape instead of a speck of imperfection. Time passed, and the smear continued to go unnoticed. Only when it had taken on a definite shape did anyone truly notice it. The white-faced black fae moved slowly, her sturdy frame looking rather depleted, and scarecrow-ish. Her time away from the valley had not treated her well. She returned now to a place she had never considered home, hoping to change that fact.

She was nearly atop of Maiden when she caught scent of hte other, and stumbled to a weary halt. Her eyes widened slightly, and she stepped wide, moving until she had rounded a thick pine tree and could see the other. Auds flicked forward, and she raised her head slightly, keeping an eye on the path she'd recently tread and the one before her. She stood still, hooves planted wider than necessary, as if she were not well balanced.
