and the criminal code is the same all across canada. defamation of character is not a provincial offence, therefore it would be in the cc. provincial offenses defer from province to province but they cover things such as the blind persons rights act or liquor lisence act. something liek defamation of chacater (which is a summary offence and only a police officer can arrest for it IF they witness it happening, and not just basing it upon what others say. It is a hard one to justify, and there is no hard proof, therefore cops would do nothing about your case. if you would like me to get into further detail with section numbers and anaylitical information on how the crmincal code works, ill be happy to give you a class on it!
