Hi Everyone!
I haven't posted here in quite a while so I thought I'd say hi to everyone and let everyone know my good news...
I am now engaged!! :-) My boyfriend, Adrian, proposed to me last weekend. We will probably get married sometime in 2005.
When we first started going out Adrian actually hated Xena, had something against it, don't know why, but a few months ago I showed him a few episodes and have started to convert him, hehehe... he seems to like it now, he liked the ones I showed him - Been There Done That, Fins Femmes And Gems, The Quill Is Mightier. He even quotes them sometimes now. I plan to show him more episodes later on.
I've only just recently been able to watch season 5 properly and in colour - on TV1 (I hardly ever bothered with the evil Channel 10, because half of the episodes were missing when they did finally air them anyway!) I know this is probably an old topic to bring up for everyone else, who has mostly seen season 6 (I have only seen The Abyss), but what did you all think of it? and the whole thing of writing the pregnancy into the script? I think the quality of the eps in season 5 wasn't all that good, the first couple were good, but then it kinda drifted and eventually reached it's lowest points of things like Married With Fishsticks and Kindred Spirits... and a lot of the other episodes around the middle of the season there ranged from pretty ordinary to bad as well. Some of them just watching the trailer made me decide to not watch it. Motherhood wasn't *too* bad I guess, but I did think they got the timing wrong with Xena throwing her Chakram at Gabby... that was just stupid, she ended up killing Gabby for nothing - she had already stabbed Eve at least few seconds before Xena threw the Chakram!
Does anyone agree with me about season 5? I know these things would've been brought up ages ago, but yeah, just thought I'd ask again now that I have had the opportunity to see them properly.
