All I can say about A FRIEND IN NEED parts one & two is that when I first watched them a few months ago I was amazed & in shock. I was also sad that Xena ended up staying dead at the end.
But once I re-watched it over & over I fell in love with it, Fantastic performances by Lucy & Renee. The scene where Xena says to Gabrielle "If I only had thirty seconds to live, this is how I would want to live them....looking into your eyes" That scene is just spectacular, it gives me goosebumps everytime I watch it. There are so many awesome scenes in both parts one & two. It is sad that Xena stays dead at the end, that I cant argue with.
Also if you haven't seen The Director's Cut then I suggest you do cause the story is explained more & it makes you feel more emotional.
I totally love the series finally so much that I have bought two copies of the normal version which I got when I ordered my season six video collection & I also have two copies of the Director's cut. I use one copy & keep the other in Mint condition. I also have taped the episodes from Network Ten so I have triple's in case a tape is damaged.
So if you haven't seen A Friend In Need then what are you waiting for??? But have tissues by your side :(
Dave
