...something different - not another Neo. I've seen this with other animals. Given a couple of weeks most get over it and resume life. We gave my doberman her own cat. She adored it.

If you are thinking rescue, perhaps let your oldster "pick" his new friend - take him along.

It's very sad when this happens. I've seen it before. It's time to spend more time and attention to your guy. Remember he is also "feeding" off your feelings too right now. Neos are very susceptible to our human feelings.
