I'm still amazed at how many "dog" people are shocked at her defending her boy. Cats are pretty much as territorial as dogs and of course she was not going to just sit there and watch him get hurt!

and cats are known for attacking animals much bigger than them. Besides many cats see themselves as "the bosses" and often intervene when the order is disturbed by trouble makers.

And of course, it was her little human who was in danger. She used to sleep with him in his crib. He is her boy indeed.

Anyway the kid was lucky that she was around, not sure that his own mother could have scare the dog away like Tara did!

She was just lying down on a cushion of a lounge in the back yard and this dog came up and started yapping at her. She seemed just calm and indifferent; but she must have known just when the dog came into range. When that happened she sprang up and lashed out with her right paw and sliced the dog's nose open.

I'm glad she liked me!
