Subject: A Hoosier Wildcat

Bobcat at Patoka National Wildlife Refuge

This is about 40 miles southeast of me. I've seen one bobcat in my life in the wild and it as right here on the farm on which I live. But it as about 65 years ago.

He's a much less fluffy version of our bobcats-still got that wide eyed stare down though! Cool video, he's relaxed in his place...

Andy has bring doing some photography with the barred owl family that lives in the big park near his place in Victoria. We've come to realise that they are a lot like a big, fluffy cat perched high in a tree when they are warm and sleepy. Pretty derpy, actually!

People keep filming him while he is walking the railroad rail. I guess the cat finds some use for the railroad as it goes through the wildlife refuge.
