I'm not entirely sure how to place the new SHIELD team in the current Marvel universe canon at this stage of the game. I know that at some point the Guardians and Thanos are going to be involved but that's most likely by the third Avengers movie but now I'm hearing rumors of another Iron Man movie and I'm not over thrilled by that, if anything I thought Tony could be involved at some level helping Coulson's team but now, maybe not so much.

I also have to say that the second Cap movie and Guardians really have raised the bar for the MCU. After the super weak start of the tv series, they really need to keep the level of writing and story arc building at least as good as it was towards the end of the season to help retain and hopefully grow viewership.
