I've never thought of Indiana as having high humidity-why is that? I thought it would be more like Saskatchewan, dry and arid during the summer. Hope you get service soon so you can enjoy your birthday in the cool!

The highest humidity is west between here and St Louis - over Illinois. As you go west from St Louis then the air progressively dries out (afterall Saskatchewan is north of our Great Plains - Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas). Our humidity is derived from from the Gulf of Mexico air masses coming north. Now some summers we get what is called a "blocking high pressure" over this area and that keeps those air-masses from entering the area. That is what happened in 2012 and we had our drought.

I have two box fans keeping the air moving and today the sky is cloudy. So not too bad. Should have heard about the window air-conditioner from the company by now, but no. I can live without it if they don't get it here. At least my pickup has air-conditioning, but you'd hope that once you are home for the day that you could stop sweating! Cloudy today with maybe rain. I might open the house up if it does rain and let in some fresh, rain-cooled air.
