Subject: Some good news.

My brother finally heard back from his Egyptian friend yesterday. He and his family are safe-the police station across the street from the family residence was bombed but nobody was hurt. Considering that two cars can barely go abreast down that street, it must have been a pretty small bomb, says my brother!

Gaudete hopes to come back to Canada (he has Canadian citizenship) in six months or so and stay for good, depending on how things go over there. If the army can keep things on the straight and narrow, elections are fair and things don't get worse, that is.

Let's hope, shall we?

I have some other acquaintences on the net who have friends in Egypt. Most of them are not too happy about it or hopeful. They're making plans to get out, but one did get out on Thursday. He had dual citizenship with England.

BTW.,.. no more computer freeze-ups. I am downloading Window's patches and got up to 37% downloaded when it installed some files on the computer. Must of fixed what was wrong. Now only up to 78% on the Windows download..... then I have the McAfee download....

Patience is a virtue when you are doing this-I would have died of frustration by now!

My computer froze up.

I wonder if it had something to do with the modem line speed. It got up damn fast to 288 Kbps.
