That "soul magnet" thing is really silly (well the idea of souls floating around is) but Anna Torv was great at impersonating Nimoy and I liked how the show connected the stroyline to the end of season 1 with the cup of tea and the bell that obviously sent Olivia back to the blue universe when she met up with William Bell over there.

As for the "case", the opening scene was quite good, and again, we had a father making horrible choices out of love for his son. The parallel is getting old though.

I prefered the previous episode despite its flaws – they'd better have an explanation for the characters forgetting they already met once (especially Peter and Olivia! Walter's missing brain parts can explain it) if they don't want to be charged for retcon; young Olivia looked too much older; and that magical snow reminded me how much I disliked Amends (but the white tulips were a nice touch)– and the scene in which young Liv crossed over without realising it and talked to Walternate was a perfect twist.

Unfortunately I think that the best episodes are behind not ahead and I trust JJ Abrams to let me down eventually...but that the pessimist in me talking (and the Lost viewer who hated Lost final sequence).

Oh... please don't be pessimistic.

I thought the snow in Amends was perfect, but then I come from a White Xmas American point of view.

Sometimes I wish my friends could just sit back and enjoy a TV show without overly analyzing it.

*sigh*

I hated the magical snow in Amends, and disliked most of the episode.

I don't enjoy that kind of sentimental corny stuff. I don't know whether it's a cultural thing or if it's just me. A bit of both, I guess.

I'm the way I am, trésor, don't try to change me.
