I actually dreamed about this the night after I watched the trailer, it's a super strange and scary concept.

I recall reading a short SF story from the 40's that echoed something like what this movie might be trying to do. The physics alone is a nightmare, watching that second Earth in the sky.

As for the idea of getting away, I don't think it's possible to outrun that kind of memory, not without some very real consequences...

Looking forward to seeing this sometime though.

His new film is called Melancholia and also deals with a planet turning up by ours, but it looks a bit freakier.

The drama aspect of Another Earth reminds me a bit of 21 Grams, in a way.
