Subject: So she is/was the Impossible Astronaut and they are leaving behind two big mysteries. (Who talk)

Has there ever been a pregnant Companion who spent as much time as Amy has in the Tardis? Is Amy+Rory's child part Time Lord? Did she kill the Doctor in our time? Is River heading towards her fatal day? Did Canton ever marry his man?

SO MANY QUESTIONS!

I haven't seen the episode yet.

Thinking about it, maybe the she in the suit was not the child we think is Amy+Rory's but some other she. Or maybe the child grown up....River?? Is this where we are going? We know at some point River kills a good man, is the trust we've seen develop between herself and the Companions come from some kind of awareness that she's closer to them than they initially realised?

If humans have begun killing the Silence (even Ali spoke up last night and pointed out how this series is so very much NOT a kids' show anymore!) does this mean that the child was sent back in time to allow us to start the revolution? Or did Amy spend more time there than she thought-something like the orphanage doctor?

There was so much happening, I think Stupid Face being prompted to think about his 2000 Roman years was important, as was him finding out about the child. You realize that Moffat is incredibly tricksy by making us feel so bad for Rory and then finding out with him that his assumptions were so wrong....

A very strong start to the season. Oh and the set up at Area 51? Priceless!!!

When the 10th Doctor met River, she was wearing a spacesuit. River flies the Tardis like she was born to it. They've had their first/last kiss, now we're working backwards towards the first time she will meet the Doctor.

Hmmmmm.

I really should rewatch the two episodes...

The she-child could be anyone, Amy's daughter, River or someone else we haven't met yet.

When did the Doctor give River his screwdriver (and what a great line when she told him, she had guns and he only had a screwdriver "build a cabinet!")? I seem to recall that she told Ten it was just before the events in "Silence in the Library"...but that haven't happened on screen yet! Yet it should have happened last season when The Doctor (as Eleven)saw her for the second time which would have been her penultimate meeting with him.

You realize that Moffat is incredibly tricksy by making us feel so bad for Rory and then finding out with him that his assumptions were so wrong....

Except that the lines really don't fit in if Amy really was talking about Rory. Our Amy and Rory have known each other for ever, they grew up together. How could her life have been boring before he fell out of the sky figure of speech or not?

Because there are a few ways to look at what she said, we were thinking it was the obvious but maybe it's both, she loves her Doctor AND the man who quietly stood beside her for all those years. Honestly, I think she loves both of them but realizes only one of them loves her back in quite the same way and is still coming to terms with that...

Yes but it still doesn't explain "the boring life" and the "dropping out of the sky" thing...Those lines make sense only if she were thinking of the Doctor.

Or something is really screwed up about the timeline and there are two Amys hence the confusing speech. Perhaps only one Amy, ours have been watched over by the last Centurion and fell for that Rory.

Perhaps everything has been "a dream" since the episode about the Dream Lord last season.

Who knows what really happened since the Doctor showed up in WeeAmy's back yard and she fed him-I'm still wondering how Amy can be pregnant/not pregnant within the span of seconds, how Rory can be so hot in an old suit and glasses and if the Silence are standing behind me right now....

Don't worry, you kill the Silence who was standing behind you, you just don't remember doing it!

What about that woman in the door (that looked like a cell's door)who said "no she's still dreaming"? A creepy moment, especially since the door didn't actually have a "window".

I'm beginning to think that there's a "Normal Again" side to the show, and that maybe Amy created two realities when she remade the world last season which could explain the pregnant/non pregnant thing. The Amy from the other reality could be pregnant and was sleeping and dreaming of what was happening in this one.

In the scene she saw through a window that strange woman,...a bit like Sam Tyler saw things on tv screens and heard messages on the radio!

The Silence aliens were really creepy, and the idea that they have been there for thousands years, not unseen but just not remembered, was even creepier. The marking method reminded me a lot of Memento and the orphanage house reminded me of the deserted house in "Blink".

I love Moffat's universe and cleverness.

I adore Rory and the conversation with the Doctor about his remembering his time as the last centurion waiting for Amy was such a nice touch.

But there were so many nice details in the episode.

How can anyone think that Doctor Who is still a kid show? It has become so complex now that the Moff runs things.
