Subject: The impending Cheesepocalyse....

You don't know what you've got till it's (maybe) gone. Bye, Velveeta! We'll miss you, bbgirl!

Kraft Foods spokesperson Jody Moore said in a statement, "It is possible consumers in any part of the country may not be able to find some Velveeta products," This is not a drill. This is real life, people: The Velveeta is gone (maybe).

Moore explained that (possible) shortages like this "happen from time to time" because of the "nature of manufacturing." She describes it is a "short-term situation." Or is it? With so much uncertainty around the issue, one has to wonder:

In a situation like this, we have no choice but to turn to our faith. These are the 7 Seals of the impending Cheesepocalyse, because, yeah, sure, that will work. For the rest, go to:

Cheese is my favourite food group but I would not miss that overly salty item in the least!!

Love it but it doesn't quite love me. Cheese certainly doesn't help the UC either. Velveeta is good, but I'm partial to Krafts Deluxe American in the blue box. It's a higher form of Velveeta.

On New Year's Day, I made a Queso Blanco dip with the same-named version of Velveeta (the white kind).
Heated it up with some Rotel, chopped jalapenos and a few shakes of hot sauce.
Snacked on that throughout the day with home-made tortilla chips. Delish.

I don't use it often but do crave it at times when I want some old-timey, comfort food (cheesy) dishes.
Then I look up my family's old recipes and go for it.
Don't go Velveeta....Don't go.
