There is a picture floating around right now of a cast/production crew meetup, with Daisy sitting between Harrison and Carrie...sure looks like she's playing a Solo.

I have such mixed feelings about this film. Still smarting from the Lucas era pre-trilogy but was a reader of the post 4-6 book series up until around the time when Luke and Mara formalised their relationship. So sad to see all of that mythos thrown out the door, also extremely wary after what JJ did to the second Trek film after such a great reboot initially.

Also hear there may be another announcement coming shortly about at least one more primary cast member, btw.
