I had a good day, although it poured nonstop and also 90% of Dakar is currently without running water. So since the boyfriend was visiting, we splurged on a hotel room for the night and on an excellent dinner.

But now it's Monday, I just brought him to the airport and there's still no running water most neighborhoods.. *sigh*

Be careful when you get it back. It won't be safe to drink. We lose our water supply here at least once a year and the powers-that-be always issue a boil order.

Although I'm not sure tap water is safe to drink in any case... The locals do but it's not recommended for tourist tummies. Anyway I hope the powers-that-be will provide flowing waters soon!
