I also recommend hiding the catnip and making sure the toilet seat lid is down in case of "Oops, did I just accidentally push the kitten in there??" from the older cats...

The only cat I have ever had who never liked or played with new cats/kittens would be Kandy, who detests anything that may detract from her getting attention. The cats in the video bonded quite quickly, most likely the older cat was bored and soon realized a playmate was pretty cool to have.
