While never a fan of the series until Eleven debuted, I think it's clear that Buffy continues to point the way for how SF/Fantasy/Horror tv shows can and should be put together in order to appeal to a wider audience than their genre would suggest. I was initially drawn to the casting choices once Eleven and Amy were introduced but the dialogue and ability to go from humour to horror was most likely why I stayed.
