Johnny's getting the lowdown on Colt and what didn't happen to Ella Mae.

Jackie Nevada, undergrad student at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Grad student at the Univesity of Kentucky.

That convo between Jackie and Raylan as they went from Katrina's house to Raylan's car was just priceless.

Boyd thought he was stepping on up into Harlan society at Napier's rich-folk's sex party - "about as welcome here as a case of the clap." Then there's Ava and her "gawking." Instead, Boyd finds out the place he and his father are meant to keep in Harlan. What they "have been given." Crowders do what they say. Strong-arm, er.... kill Frank Browning.

I wonder if their questioning of people will come to anything about identifying Drew Thompson (Lee maybe, Gerald maybe).

Take it to the edge....

Raylan sees him the first he walks in the bar.

And Jackie Nevada is getting even more moist between the legs. Though the giddy comes from the money. (I'm glad Raylan didn't end up in bed with her.)

Colt hasn't seen Ella Mae's face in his dreams.

Arlo gets the news that 'the son he never had' - Boyd is working against him. Struck a nerve on hearing about Sheriff Hunter knowing Drew Thompson. Wonder if he'll get Hunter killed. Raylan will be glad when he hears the news that Arlo's dead - been killed?


BTW... TV GUIDE has JUSTIFIED as one of the top shows (if not the top show) on TV.

Raylan eating an icecream in his car!

Okay maybe it wasn't that sexy but I loved that he was enjoying an icecream. Little details like that...He is gourmand and sensual our Raylan, and it's prt of his appeal, besides the badge, the hat the drawl (btw I loved how Sharon described it before getting killed)...

I also loved that Jody kept calling him "Raylan" when talking to Kennet-without-the-diphtong, instead of mentioning him as "Givens" or anything offensive like "that fucking Marshall". It sounded weirdly intimate. I wonder if Jody wasn't a sort of stand-in for Boyd, and if the bar scene wasn't foreshadowing something. Soon or later, Raylan will have to put Boyd down.

Johnny kissing the whore's neck was actually the sexiest thing in the episode, but maybe it's just me, as I've always found Johnny very hot.

Also, great Arlo scene. The character's presence (and the actor's) has become so powerful (compared to season 1 or even 2).

I think that Raylan ended up in the shower with Jackie Nevada, who btw jumped into it with her panties on...

Maybe she needed to wash them?

..... she as much as said Raylan was making her moist. I think she got off coming into the bar and seeing he had gunned down the guy too.

So how do you feel about Boyd being put in the place that "Crowders" are meant to be by the 'elite' of Harlan?

It was an interesting meeting, kinda destroying his hopes (at least that's what he told Ava) of becoming respectable. Also it humbled him. Boyd usually thinks he's the smartest guy who ever walked the Earth and there he realised there were things he knew nothing about. It was a nice parallel to Raylan's own arrogance that has been quite beaten up lately.

But knowing Boyd he won't accept to be put "into his place" like that. He is not his father, just like Raylan is not Arlo. If he has to stick to a life of crime, Boyd will be the boss, not anybody's enforcer/dog. He won't be satisfied with being the usual Crowder, just like Raylan refused to follow the Givens' path his family set in Harlan county.
